SANDWICH - Anna Romana Lovejoy, 98, passed away at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, on Aug. 1, 2008.
"RO" as her family and friends knew her was born on Oct. 28, 1909, in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., to Frank and Anna Sestito.
She was married to Hollis C. Lovejoy in October 1936. Hollis passed away in 1987. Ro and Hollis welcomed their only child in May of 1941, William F. Lovejoy, who predeceased her in 2001.
Ro and her family moved to West Yarmouth in August of 1941, where she lived until she entered a health care facility in 2001.
Ro was a homemaker and an excellent cook. She loved to entertain and host dinner parties. She worked part -time at the Barefoot Trader gift shop in West Yarmouth for many years.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at Lothrop Cemetery in Barnstable Village, on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited.
