Claude L. Rice - age 82 of Madisonville formerly of the Dixie Lee Junction Community passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and the Madisonville Masonic Lodge. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean War and an retired electrician.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Bobbie Jean Rice; his parents, Clarence and Lois Rice; brothers, Charles and William Rice, and sister, Virginia Caston. Survived by his daughters, Vicki Mullally and husband, Tom of Elburn, IL, Diane Worel and husband, Jerry of West Chicago, Il, Cindy Arevalo and husband, Delfino of Madisonville; grandchildren: Shanna Ramirez and spouse, Christopher Mullally and spouse, Kimberly Hoffman and spouse, Nina Mullally, Kristen Mullally, Jason Worel, Pablo Arevalo, Sara Worel, Marissa Choate and spouse; great grandchildren: Kylie and Tommy Hoffman, Tyler and Maya Mullally, Anisa Mateo, Nathan Ramirez, Micah and Brianna Choate; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Fred Parris of Lenoir City along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Frank Hicks and Rev. Bob Wagner officiating. Masonic services will follow. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Highland West Cemetery for graveside services with military honors conferred by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
