Lucille M. Schantz, 92, of Wayland died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Parkview Home in Wayland.
Born Sept. 5, 1919, south of Wayland, she was the daughter of Harris and Evalena Reschly Boese. On Dec. 18, 1947, she married W. E. "Bud" Schantz in Nashua.
Mrs. Schantz was a homemaker and helped her husband. She was a member of Wayland Methodist Church, where she was Sunday school secretary and project chairman. She quilted more than 200 quilts. She enjoyed old Gospel music and singing and the outdoors.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one infant sister and two brothers.
