John Alton Lund, Sr. passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011 at his home. Age 81. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Chalmette, LA for the past 45 years. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Eleanor Davidson Lund, son John Alton Lund, Jr. and wife Catherine Bares Lund, daughter Mary Lund Letellier and husband Edward Louis Letellier, Sr. and granddaughters Amanda Michele Rickerson, Rachel Lynn Rickerson, Jacqueline Marie Lund and Kimberly Lauren Lund. Also survived by brothers Anthony and Joseph, Sr. and numerous relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents Thomas E. and Mary Hemelt Lund, brothers Thomas, Louis and Emanuel and sisters Liberty Ueberschlag and Stella Lund.
