Clifford T. Finley of Port Ewen died in this city today following a lengthy illness. He was born in Kingston, a son of the late Thomas L. and Elizabeth Westfall Finley, and was a resident of this area all of his life.

He was employed by Canfield Supply Co. for many years and at the time of his retirement served as assistant treasurer. Active in the Port Ewen area, Mr. Finley was a member of the Port Ewen Reformed Church, the Greater Consistory of the Church; a life member of the Port Ewen Fire Department, where he served for many years as secretary; member of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Port Ewen Fire District; former committeeman of Boy Scout Troop 26 of Port Ewen; and had served as treasurer of the former Port Ewen School District No. 13.

Mr. Finley is survived by his wife, the former Lillian Nickerson; a daughter, and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at the Jenson and Deegan Funeral Home Inc., 15 Downs Street, Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Allan Janssen, pastor of Port Ewen Reformed Church, and the Rev. John Needham, pastor of Mt. Marion Reformed Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in Montrepose Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
