Deceased Name: Lena Evelyn Mason Buckley , 96
DOVER - Lena Evelyn Mason Buckley of Dover died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 96.

Mrs. Buckley was born May 21, 1906, in Aurora, W.Va., daughter of the late Alvin Cline and Oddessa Ellen (Adams) Mason.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, as well as a loving "Nana" to many children. She was a childcare provider for 24 years and greatly enjoyed nurturing and teaching her children. Furthermore, she cherished each family member and treasured the moments spent at family gatherings. She was extremely proud of her family member's accomplishments, large or small. She loved communicating with others all of her family's successes - this was her true reward in life. She enjoyed gardening, reading, puzzles, sewing and baking. She was also an avid gardener and loved baking bread filled with "special spices." She embraced each day, thus appreciating the simpler things in life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Alvey Buckley, in 1961.

She is survived by three sons, Larry K. Buckley of Dover, James A. Buckley of Fallings Waters, W.Va., and Harry C. Buckley of Maugansville, Md.; a daughter, Marion Jean Neal of Dover; a sister, Edith Elliss of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Remembrance services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Dover.

Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover.

Arrangements by Trader Funeral Home, Dover.
