Rare Illness Causes
Death of 3-Year Old
In Hannibal Hospital.

Monroe City, MO., July 16-An illness
identified as Rocky Mountain Spotted
Fever, caused the death of three-year
old, Shelia Mae Berlin, west of this city
Thursday afternoon at 3:10 in Levering
Hospital in Hannibal. The girl was first
stricken July 1, and for 10 days was
belived to have the measels. On July 8,
she was removed to St. Elizabeth Hos-
pital and later moved to the isolation
ward at Levering Hospital until test proved
the nature of her illness.

Shelia Mae was born April 08, 1945,
the daughter of Clyde and Gladys Miller
Berlin, in the hospital in Shelbina, MO.
Surviving with the parents are Floyd,
Harold, Herman and John and one sister,
Carol Ann; the grandparents, Mr and Mrs.
Ed Berlin of near Monroe City and Mr. and
Mrs. Wesley Miller of Lentener, and several
aunts and uncles.

Funeral services have been tentatively set
for Saturday afternoon at 2, from Wilsons
Funeral Home, Monroe City, MO.
