CHARLES CITY - Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church for Mrs. Bernard Tynan, 58. She died Tuesday of a heart attack at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn., where she had been a patient several weeks. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Thelma J. Tynan was born Sept. 20, 1903, north of Colwell, the daughter of Steve and Louise Ebert Staebler. On June 7, 1939 she was married to Bernard J. Tynan in Charles City.

She had been employed as a clerk in the J. C. Penney store here many years. She wasa member of the Immaculate Conception Church, the Rosary Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband and her mother, Louise Staebler, both of Charles City. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother Paul Staebler.
