Jane Hope Elliott Bowman, Leawood, KS, passed away in her sleep Sunday, February 6, 2000, at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, at Ward Parkway Presbyterian Church, 7406 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO; burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Mrs. Bowman was born in Elsberry, MO, to the late T. Homer and Margaret Stone Elliott. She graduated from Elsberry High School and attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO. On June 14, 1947, she was married in Elsberry to Lynn Vallentine Bowman of Kansas City, MO. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Ward Parkway Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lynn Vallentine Bowman, of the home; two sons, Lynn Bowman, Cleveland, MO, and Tom Bowman and his wife, Bitsy, Prairie Village, KS; one daughter, Anne Bowman, Prairie Village, KS; one brother, James H. Elliott, Lt. Col. (ret.) and his wife, Louise, Albuquerque, NM; and other relatives and many friends. She was a loving and lovely wife and mother. She willbe deeply missed by her family and friends.
