He was born January 30, 1927 in Salt Lake City to Armond and Beatrice Everett. He married Emagene B. Everett on December 3, 1952 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on October 13, 1958. John served in the US Navy for 8 years during World War II and Korea. He retired from UTA after 40 years of service. He also worked side-by-side with his wife at Western Foods. He loved traveling, camping, and working hard to provide for his family.
Survived by his children, Ronald, Donald, Wendy Jacobsen, Ernie and Kenneth; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Mitchell and Carol Price; and Tootsie, his little dog.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife; and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 24th, 11:00 a.m. at the Rose Park North Stake Center, 1165 No. 1200 W. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
