Joseph Starr, son of Jonathan 55, b. July 17, 1713, in Groton. His father, in his will, March 24, 1746-7, gives him "all my Long Hill farm, where he (Joseph) now lives." He had no children, for by deed, May 24, 1790, he gives all his estate to his wife ...d. Oct. 13, 1795; buried in Starr cem. On stone that marks his grave are the lines:
"The sweet remembrance of just
Shall flourish when they sleep in dust."
He m. ELIZABETH, dau. of Dea. James and Elizabeth (Smith) AVERY, of Groton, b. Jan. 13, 1725; d. June 1, 1826, ae 100 yrs., 4 mos. and 18 days. She was admitted to the curch May 24, 1747...
