Orlando Bridger
Orlando Bridger aged 76, of 14 Grove Street, Cooperstown, died Thursday, November 09 at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital following a long illness.
Mr. Bridger was born June 28, 1891, in the Town of Springfield, the son of David and Fannie (Jones) Bridger. He married Nellie
Page on September 15, 1917, at Cooperstown. He worked for the Clark Estates for 35 years, retiring about 3 and one-half years ago. Surviving are his wife; four sons, Chester, Herman and David, all of Cooperstown, and Frederick of Petersburg, Va.; nine
daughters, Mrs. Gladys Morton; Mrs. Hilda Pomeroy, Fulton, Mrs. Elizabeth O'Brien and Mrs. Mildred Jennings, both of Cooperstown, Mrs. Cora Petrucco, Cortland, Mrs. Wanda Morrison, Amsterdam, Mrs. Evelyn Gray, Mrs. Wilma Higgins, and Mrs. Lois Smith, all of Cooperstown; 32 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, William of Ilion, Floyd of Cooperstown
and Harry of Chittenango; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Lee, Cooperstown, and Mrs. Cora Van DeBoe of Oneonta, and several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p. m. on Sunday from Ingalls Funeral Home in Cooperstown, with the Rev. Larry Campbell,
pastor of the First Baptist Church of Cooperstown, officiating. Burial was in Hartwick Seminary Cemetery
