Susan married Job "Frederick" Brooks, son of Job Brooks and Sarah Hildreth of Stoddard and a War of 1812 veteran, on November 14, 1819 in a ceremony performed in Temple, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.
The couple soon came to Stoddard where Frederick farmed. Later the couple moved to Munsonville when Frederick was appointed Postmaster for the village.
Susan died of pneumonia a week and a half after the death of her husband, Frederick.
