On the Sherwin side, Francis Harris Sherwin was named for his mother's line. She was Mary "Polly" Harris daughter of Francis Harris and Eunice Holden and her family was active in the Revolutionary war. His father was Daniel Ebenezer Sherwin. I have not located the graves for Francis and Mary Anne Willson Sherwin Daniel and Mary "Polly" Harris Sherwin are buried in the Webster St. Cemetery. I took pictures of their stones while visiting my sister who lived in the housing next to the cemetery.
Fayette's were in Malone and Chasm Falls area from about 1845 when Joseph Faille aka Fayette and Phoebe Boyer aka Bouyea, his wife, came from LaPrairie, Quebec, Canada. Their children all lived in the Chasm Falls area on the Fayette Rd when the area was called Fayetteville.
My great grandmother, Harriet Lucinda, was the 2nd wife of Harrison Fayette and mother of my grandfather, Delbert. She had 5 children, George A., Harriet, Delbert, Edmund Eugene, Chester Harrison, and was stepmother to Eva and Fred, Harrison's children from his first marriage. She had a huge goiter in her throat ( I have a copy of her autopsy) and so did her daughter Harriet who married Frank Sancomb. Her granddaughter, my Aunt Jessie Sancomb Sharland also had this goiter. Jessie was cousin because she was daughter of Delbert's sister and Aunt because she married the brother of Delbert's wife, Rose Sharland Fayette.
I have removed the cemetery pictures that were on here because I found my negatives were in black and white and Northern Neighbor's were in color. I will not purposely use someone's else's pictures without their persmission and sincerely apologize for doing so.
However, I have never stopped anyone from using my photos and shared them freely to family member. Any and all photos I have added of the Fayette/Sherwin family are by my family members or myself.
I have done a lot of research on all these lines and more than willing to help anyone with their branch off these trees. This has been my project for over 40 years.
