Albert R. Brunetti, 88, DuBois, formerly of Curwensville, passed away Sunday Aug. 19, 2012, at his residence.
Born June 12, 1924, he was the son of the late Oreste and Edith Durandetto Brunetti.
He was married to Betty Jane Brunetti, who preceded him in death July 25, 2005.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was Catholic by faith.
During his working career, he was a salesman for various businesses, owned and operated Wildwood Inn and Clearfield Builder Supply and also managed Clearfield Truck Rentals.
He was a life member of the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co. in Curwensville, past president of Curwensville Borough Council and also served as treasurer for council, past president of The Allsports Club through the Curwensville High School, 1976 Rotary Club Citizen of the Year and was an avid reader and avid golfer where he won the senior club championship at Elizabeth City Country Club in North Carolina and senior club championship at Grandview Golf Course in Curwensville.
He is survived by three children: Tod A. Brunetti and his wife Diane of DuBois, John O. Brunetti and his wife Crystal of Curwensville and Kim Richards of California; three step-grandchildren, Patrick Heath. Alyssa Heath and Margaret Heath; and two sisters, Ann Louise Edwards of Texas and Rosalind Licherelli of Tonawanda, N.Y.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. in Curwensville. The Rev. Fr. David Foradori will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the organization of the donor's choice.
