Lauretta Pearl Smith, 72, daughter of J.C. and Clara Hart, was born Aug. 14, 1931, at Roubidoux. She died Aug. 5, 2004, at her home at Boise, Idaho.
She graduated from Houston High School in 1948 and the following day, May 9, married John J. Smith of Tarkio.
They moved to Denver and later to Ontario, Ore., where their children were born. In 1958, they moved to Boise.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Calvary First Assembly of God and an Avon representative for 13 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Albert Hart.
Surviving are her husband; daughter, Susan Croft of Boise, Idaho; son, Douglas Smith of Boise, Idaho; sister, Shirley Scowden of Carthage; brother, Raymond Hart of Morton, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 7 at Calvary First Assembly of God with the Rev. Greg Grigsby officiating. Burial was in the Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home.
