SWAYZEE -- Samuel J. "Sammy" Nolder, 16, 7492 W. 500S, died at 1:32 a.m. Sunday in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born in Muncie to James Nolder, Jonesboro, and Sandra Pattison Nolder, Swayzee. Both parents survive.
He was a junior at Oak Hill High School. He participated in wrestling, football and baseball. He loved computers and electric guitars. He was a loyal friend and enjoyed spending time with his friends the most.
Additional survivors include brothers, Zack and Trace, and a baby sister, Jacy, all of Swayzee; maternal grandmother, Chloann Pattison, Marion; paternal grandmother, Vicki Nolder, Summitville; maternal great-grandparents, Helen Wimmer and Raymond and Lavonne Pattison, all of Marion; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Terry Pattison, and James A. Nolder, and special friend, Eddie Estrada.
Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday in Westview Wesleyan Church, 1300 W. Sixth St., Jonesboro, with the Rev. Mark Deisler officiating. Burial is in Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. until late today at the church.
Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, handled arrangements.
