–husband of Amalia Lettenberger [married May 20, 1858 at St. Gregory]
–son of Anton Sprang and Teresa Merklin
–when they were in their mid-30's, both his parents died on the same day in Baden –his mother, Teresa Merklin was a sister to Ulrich Kunzweiler's wife Julianna Merklin –Anton had the following siblings: Adam, Norbert, Herman, Elizabeth, Teresa, and Amalie –born Baden –entered the US via New York in Nov. of 1854 –Anton arrived in the US in the company of his younger brother and his uncle Ulrich Kunzweiler –"after landing in New York came to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from whence the little party made their way on foot to the town of Eaton, where Herman [and Anton] was reared." –from the book History of Manitowoc County Wisconsin by Dr. L. Falge, Vol. 2, p.538-543 –farmer –on June 14, 1893 purchased the vacant lot at 320 West Main Street and built a house and barn for his small farm –Amalia lived in this house until her death in 1914 –Anton lived here until his death in 1923 –died from "chronic valcular heart disease –diabetes"......Bio sent to me from Rose Mohnsam
