She was born October 28, 1922, in Lafayette to the late John and Celestia Schetzsle Anthrop.
Donna graduated from St. Francis High School and on February 1, 1947, she married Richard Coolman in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on January 1, 1990. She later married Edward Smith and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2009.
Donna worked at Jewel Foods in the Meat Department for 21 years and retired in 1984.
She was a member of St Lawrence Catholic Church and enjoyed line dancing, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble and watching soap operas.
Surviving are her children, Richard (wife: Linda) Coolman, Douglas (wife: Deborah) Coolman and Donald Coolman, all of Lafayette, Diana Harrison, of Tucson, Ariz. and Denise (husband: Jeff) Drake, of Superior, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by brother Lawrence and a sister Jane.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St Lawrence Catholic Church; Fr. Daniel Gartland officiating. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery.
