Professional Hockey Player. A native of St. Boniface, Manitoba, Bruneteau played for teams in the NHL, WJRHL, MHL-SR, IHL, AHL, and the USHL. At 5'11, and 185lbs, Bruneteau played the position of Right Wing for the Winnipeg K of C from 1931 to 1933, Winnipeg Falcons from 1933 to 1934, Detroit Olympics from 1934 to 1935, Detroit Red Wings from 1935 to 1946, Pittsburgh Hornets from 1937 to 1938, 1940 to 1941, Indianapolis Capitals from 1945 to 1946, and the Omaha Knights from 1946 to 1949. Bruneteau who was also the brother of hockey player Edward H. 'Eddie' Bruneteau retired from hockey in 1948, but then became Head Coach of the St. Louis Flyers from 1951 to 1952 in the AHL, and the Milwaukee Chiefs from 1952 to 1953 in the IHL. Bruneteau later settled in Omaha, Nebraska, with his brother, where he ran a bar. Bruneteau passed away in Houston, Texas, on April 15, 1982, at the age of 67.
