Ferdinand W. Kleist, 78, retired Rockland farmer, died early Wednesday at the home of his son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Reinke, in Rockland.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Reedsville Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Brillion. The Rev. Gordon Core will officiate and burial will be in the Rockland Cemetery.
He was born in Rantoul, Calumet County in 1876 and in 1898 married Miss Martha Krueger. They operated a cheese factory in Rockland for 22 years and later he engaged in farming. His wife died in 1945.
Surviving are two sons, Harvey of Collins and Alvin of Newton; daughter Mrs. Edwin Reinke of Rockland; two brothers, Otto of Potter and Henry of Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Becker of Hortonville and Mrs. Clara Rienow of Marshfield; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Friday.
