John W. Emery, 66, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, August 23, 2012. John was born September 25, 1945 in Hillsboro, OH the son of the late Hugh W. and Mary B. (Cox) Emery. On March 7, 1966 he was united in marriage to Patsy Ann (Farmer) Emery who survives.
Beside his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister Ramona A. Emery.
John was a 1963 graduate of Belfast High School, member of the Prospect United Methodist Church, F.O.E. Aerie 1161 Hillsboro, AMVETS Post 61 Hillsboro, and retired from ODOT after 30 years of service.
He is also survived by
one daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Mark Edenfield of Hillsboro;
one son, Heath Emery of Hillsboro;
four grandchildren, Heath Edenfield, Grant Edenfield, Ethan Emery, Lacee Emery;
one sister, Barbara Siders of Hillsboro;
nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral service at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Mick Parks officiating. Burial in the Prospect Cemetery.
