Betty Counts, was born April 28, 1931 at Timber, MO. the daughter of Oliver and Blanche (Bragg) Piatt and passed away September 18, 2006 at the Mountain View Nursing Home in Mountain View, MO at the age of 75 years.
She was united in marriage to Paul David Counts on November 22, 1947 at Salem, MO and to this union two children were born.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Paul; parents Oliver and Blanche Piatt; four brothers Hugh Piatt; Rex Piatt; Bobby Piatt, and John Piatt; three sisters Avis Pankey, Edith Piatt and Laura Counts.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gerald and Donna Counts of St. Louis, MO; her daughter Marcia Counts of Eminence, MO; one grandson and spouse Eric and Beth Counts and one great-grandson Jeremy Counts of St. Louis, MO; three sister-in-laws; two brother-in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Betty was a resident of Eminence, MO since 1993. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Eminence, MO. Betty was well loved by all and will be missed by her relatives, friends and neighbors.
Funeral Services were held Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Eminence, MO with Rev. Bud Younger and Rev. Garry Reagan officiating. Interment was in Piatt Cemetery at Round Springs, MO under the direction of the Duncan Funeral Home in Eminence, MO.
