Fannie Mae Wilson departed this life on August 21, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born October 7, 1929 to the union of Jessie Gary and Gertia Mae Gary in Quitman, MS. Fannie was raised in Philadelphia, MS where she attended Booker T. Washington High School. After high school, she married James O. Daniels, and to this union four children were born, Irma, Bonnie, Willie, and Tonia. She was affectionately known and loved as ‘Madear‘. Madear spent most of her professional life cooking for restaurants such as Lafont Inn, Holiday Inn, Tiki Restaurant, and The Longfellow House. She really enjoyed cooking and socializing with her family.

Fannie Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, four brothers and her son, Willie "Bubba" James Daniels.

She is survived by three devoted daughters, Irma Doss of Moss Point, MS with whom she resided with for the last 22 years; Bonnie (Michael) Williams of Orlando, FL; Tonia (Charles) Hubbard of Pascagoula, MS; and a devoted ex-husband , James O. Daniels of Pascagoula, MS; two brothers: Harry Gary Sr. of Moss Point, MS, James H. (Leah) Gary of St. Louis, MO, two sisters, Lillian Martin of Pascagoula, MS., Barbara Rice Hairston of St. Louis, MO; seventeen grandchildren; Keith (Scerena) Daniels of Rialto, CA, Scottie (Karen) Daniels of Moss Point, MS, Jacqueline (Warnie) Haynes of San Bernadino, CA., Sharon Smith of Orlando, FL, Asia Daniels of New Orleans, LA, Michael (Tonya) Doss, Sr. of Denver, CO, Neal Doss, Jr. and DeNealius Holloway of Moss Point, MS, Leon (Tanisha) Foster of Orlando, Fl., Diana (Kenyatta) Murray of Jacksonville, FL, Keshelia Daniels of Gautier, MS, Darrin (Miranda) Doss of Mobile, AL, Karen (Clifton) Millender of Moss Point, MS, Roderick Daniels of Pascagoula, MS, Eric Daniels of Los Angeles, CA, Aaron Fagan and Quincy Williams of Orlando, FL. She also leaves forty-four great -grandchildren and seven great- great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Viewing will be held from 5-7pm Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Unity Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Monday, August 27, 2012 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Moss Point, MS.

Interment will be Gabriel Cemetery, Pascagoula, MS.
