Alvice Denton Mooney Sr. of San Bernardino, born in Coburn, Kentucky, lived in San Bernardino for 37 years, died Friday in a San Bernardino hospital at the age of 83. Mooney was custodian 10 years at St. Bernardine Hospital and was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge of Dodge City, Kansas. He was survived by his wife, Marie, three sons, Alvice Jr. of Longview, Washington, Robert G. of Alhambra and Richard L. of New Orleans, two daughters, Elnora Quade of Rialto and Pasye Farr of Endicott, Washington, three sisters, Laura McKeehan of San Bernardino, Mattie Sutton of Long Beach and Ollie Smathers of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday in Montecito Memorial Park with Allen-Gleason Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
