Deceased Name: Raymond A. Arway, 78, of Edison
Raymond A. Arway, 78, of Edison died yesterday in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.
A Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords, after the funeral from the Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.
Mr. Arway was a pipe fitter with Chevron Oil Co., Perth Amboy, for 40 years before retiring in 1985.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon with one star, the American Theater Ribbon and Victory Medal.
Born in Perth Amboy, Mr. Arway lived in Fords before moving to Edison 55 years ago.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Corson and Mrs. Mary Giovenco; a sister, Mrs. Bernice DiGiovanni; stepsisters, Mrs. Margaret Antal and Mrs. Irene Glinsky, and a grandchild.
