Irving - Funeral services for William C. Elam, 50, of 2804 W. Grauwyler, a former policeman in Farmers Branch and Childress for a total of 15 years, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Colonial Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Elam died Friday in Dallas.

A native of Roby, Fisher County, Elam had lived in the Dallas area for 10 years. He had worked for the last three years as a tool and die maker. He was a Marine veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Childress.
