Mrs. Cynthia Lords, 91, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Musser, in Benton. She had been bedfast since January 6, last, when she fell and suffered a broken hip.
Mrs. Lords, who was born August 29, 1842 in Shelby County, Ohio, had spent most of her life in Benton Township. She was one of the oldest residents of the county.
She was married to William Lords in December, 1865. He died January 6, 1875. He was a Civil War veteran.
Mrs. Lords had made her home with her daughter for the past 30 years. She had been a member of the Benton Methodist Church for 60 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Musser and Mrs. Elizabeth Shultz of Sparta, Mich., nine grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Clinton Rookstool, of Benton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 o'clock at the home and at two o'clock at the Benton M.E. Church. The Rev. E. M. Foster will officiate. Burial will be made in the Jackson Cemetery.
