She was born April 7 1935 in Coaldale and was a daughter of the late Rev. Ollie B. Buckles and Maggie Nash Buckles.
She had lived in Murrells Inlet for the past eight years.
She was a career nurse of more than forty years.
She was instrumental in the set up and training of the first Intensive Care unit at Lebanon General Hospital in Lebanon Virginia.
She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was a graduate of Garden Hi Oakwood Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents--Rev. Ollie B. Buckles and Maggie Nash Buckles.
One brother--Jimmie E. Buckles.
One sister--Judy Darlene Buckles.
Survivors are four sons--Todd B. Mullins of Murrells Inlet South Carolina--Terry Mullins of Abingdon Virginia--Virgil W. Mullins of Abingdon Virginia and Timothy W. Mullins of Bedford Virginia.
One brother--Joe H. Buckles of Stafford Virginia.
One grandchild--Mason Smith of Abingdon Virginia.
One great grandchild--Andrew Fusco of Murrells Inlet South Carolina.
Funeral service for Anna Jean will be held at eleven Thursday at the branch facility of Farris Funeral Services located on the grounds of Forest Hills Memory Gardens 19145 Lee Highway Abingdon Virginia.
The Rev. Darrell Harmon will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from six to eight at the Forest Hills Branch of Farris Funeral Service Abingdon Virginia.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Burial will be in the Forest Hills Memory Gardens Abingdon Virginia.
