Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is at the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at Fippinger, where memorials may be left to Serenity Hospice.
She was born May 6, 1925, in Springfield, Ill., a daughter of Clement and Willamena Dutz Ward. She received her education from the local Springfield schools and married James Moran Sept. 13, 1952, in Chicago. He died July 2, 2004.
Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting.
She is survived by a sister, Alice Easley, Aledo; several nieces and nephews, including Wanda Crawford, Sandy Easley, Faith Gillespie, John Easley, Peggy Barnhouse, all of Aledo, Jan Coulter, New Boston, Larry Easley, San Antonio, Texas, and Martha Swank, Rock Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and one brother.
