Bob Ekrut, born October 22, 1941, passed away August 24, 2012. Bob, the son of Robert Ollie and Carrie Elizabeth Corder Ekrut was born in Luling, Texas and grew up in Burnet, Texas.
Bob was a retiree of IBM in Austin. Bob was an avid bass fisherman/fishing guide and also excellent pianist. He found his greatest pleasure in his family and especially his grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jan Ekrut.
His is survived by 2 brothers and a sister...David and Jan Ekrut; Gene and Debra Ekrut; Joye and Cecil Deadman: mother-in-law, Velma Lou Greer; brother-in-law, Carroll Migura and dear family friend Marsha Goodlett. Also survived by his children, Gwen and Gary Krause, Mark and Darla Ekrut; Kerry and Maureen Ekrut; Daron and Tina Swafford; Shelley and Lane Reed;
His greatest joy was his 10 grandchildren; Mathew, Andrew and Kara Andel; Cassidy and Joey Swafford; Abbey, Savannah and Ethan Ekrut; Nash and Jozy Reed.
