She was born on March 31, 1917, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Gustave and Mary (Reedy) Ceaglske. Marie was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1935. On April 29, 1939, she married Paul L. Beatty in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in August of 1984. Marie was employed with Whitehouse Milk, Lakeside Foods and Mirro Aluminum Company for many years.
Survivors include one daughter: Patricia Hedman; three sons: Ronald Beatty, Randall Beatty, and Michael Beatty, all of Manitowoc; eighteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Grace Shimek; a brother: Victor Ceaglske; a grandson: Sean Beatty; and a granddaughter: Josephine Scimemi.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, until the time of service at 11 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
