Esther Thomson, 81, Lancaster, died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday in Richland Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Thursday in the Lancaster Church of Christ with Bro. Larry Harden and Bro. Jim Kerr presiding. Burial will be Lancaster North Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomson was born Oct. 28, 1901, in Edwards County, the daughter of Joe and Nancy (Russell) Lomas. She married Herbert Coplea and he died.

She then married Alva Thomson and he also preceded her in death in 1952.

She was a member of Lancaster Church of Christ.

Survivors include six sons, Dale Thomson, Lancaster; Mark Thomson, Lagro, Ind, Dave Thomson, Tuscon, Az.; John Thomson, Streamwood, Loren and Harold Coplea, both of Wabash, Ind,; three daughters, Mary K. Smith, Lake Villa, Vera Jane Cook, Boiling Green Fla., Louise Coplea, Indianapolis, Ind.; a step=son, Howard Thomson, Olney; two step-daughters, Margaret Couch, Mt. Carmel, and Betty Jennings, Whittaker, Ca.; a brother, Conrad, West Salem; two sisters, Alda Bemont and Amy Thomas, both of Olney; 31 grand-children; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son; three step-children; a grandson, three sisters, and two husbands.
