Lula Blanche Hardy, 94, Stockton, Calif., died Saturday, jan. 1, 1994 in a Stockton Hospital. She was born in Grenola, Kan. Mrs. Hardy and her family moved from Little River to Stockton where she lived for nearly 60 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and was a wonderful cook. She was the official molasses cookie and pie maker for her family and friends on all special holidays, and she enjoyed this act of love until the last Thanksgiving and Christmas of 1993.

She attended the Stockton Covenant Church for many years and was a member of the Women's Sunshine Circle. A great-grandchild, Brandon Youngblood, was born on her birthday in November 1985, which pleased her very much. She was the loving mother and mother-in-law of Wilbur J. and Kathryn Hardy, San Jose, and Nadyne (Hardy) and LaVor Sessions, Stockton; loving grandmother of Renee and Marc Youngblood, Stockton, Susie and Bob Dickhart, Tracy, David Hardy and Cindy Harrod, San Jose, and Duncan and Karen Harrod, Redmond, Wash.; five great-grandchildren; a niece, Ardis Smith, Little River, a nephew, Delano Banister, Liberal;, and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband , Clarence Hardy, born in Kansas in June 1985,and two sister, Wilma Deal and Blossom Banister. The memorial service was Wednesday, June 5, in the Fireside Chapel of the Wallace-Martin Funeral Home with burial in Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, Calif.
