Frank Gore, 80 of Athens, died Friday in a Princeton hospital following a long illness.
Born in Lerona, he was a son of the late Granger and Lucy Gore. He was a member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge. He was a veteran of World War I, having served with the U.S. Army. He was a retired timberman and farmer.
Survivors included three sons, Damon and James Gore of Peterstown and Silas Gore of Greenville; two daughters, Mrs. William T. Baugeuss of Bluefield and Mrs. Walter Beamer of Clearwater, Fla.; three sisters , Mrs. Beatrice G. Gadd of Athens and Mrs. Sally Caperton and Mrs. Zell Lam, Manassas, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Memorial Funeral directory in Princeton with Rev. Paul Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton.
