News of the death of Halvor Kittilson of Solem reached us today. Mr. Kittilson owned a fine farm in Solem and was one of Douglas county's most respected citizens. He was a man who took an active interest in the welfare and moral uplift of the community. He has not been well for some time and died last Thursday, January 19. Besides his wife he leaves ten children to mourn his departure. They are Mrs. Hilda Bergstrom, alma, Esther, Ellen, Emily, Hilfred, Gida, Anna, Olga and Myrtle.
The sympathy of the community are with the bereaved family.
