She was an employee of the AAA Travel Agency in Camp Hill; a former employee of the American Heart Association in Wormleysburg; and a member of St. John Lutheran Church,Shiremanstown.
Surviving are her husband George W. Akens; a daughter, Sherri Lee Akens-Rivera of Jacksonville,Fla.; a son, Scott W. of Mechanicsburg; and her father Marlin Weaver of Shiremanstown.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in her church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Malpezzi Funeral Home,Mechanicsburg, and noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday in the church,
