Mary R. Fazzini, 96, of Hershey, formerly of Downingtown, Coatesville, and West Chester, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Palmyra Nursing Home, near Hershey, PA.
She was the wife of the late Samuel M. Fazzini, with whom she spent 42 years of marriage at the time of his passing in July of 1975.
Born in Coatesville, Mary was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Theresa (Camioni) DiObilda.
For 20 years, she worked for Milprint, Inc. in Downingtown.
Mary was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey, Council of Catholic Women, Hershey Italian Lodge, and Hershey Areba Club. She was also a former member of St. Anthony's Lady's Auxiliary, and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Downingtown, as well as Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church of Coatesville.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and traveling, visiting such places as Lourdes, Oberammergau, Rome, Israel, and the Great Pyramids in Egypt.

Whenever a grand child was born into the family, she traveled to their homes to be of help.
Mrs. Fazzini is survived by her two daughters, Marianne Smith of West Chester, Pennsylvania, and Janet Polto, and her husband, John, of Hershey, PA. Each of Mary's two daughters had five children. Marianne had five boys, Kevin, Keith, Kenneth, Kirk, & Kyle all of Chester County, PA; Janet had four girls and one boy – Terri Valente (Frank) of Gap, PA, Janice Little (Jody) of San Antonio, Texas, Maria Martin (Paul) of Saratoga, New York, Andrea Bennett (Steven), and John Damian both of Hershey.

She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Mary (DiObilda) was the oldest of twelve and was predeceased by all of her siblings - nine brothers Joseph, Dominic (Dicky), Alexander (Sonny), Anthony (Yeah), Frank (Gink), Eugene (Muff), Samuel (Sammy), Alfred, William (Willy) and two sisters Alvira (Vera) Nudy of Wayne, PA and Anne DiFonzo of Downingtown.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place on Wednesday, August 29th at St. Joseph Church, on Manor Avenue in Downingtown. The Celebrant was Rev. Michael Rothan, Pastor, St. Joan of Arc RC Church in Hershey. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown. On the day of her burial another great great grandchild was born at Chester County Hospital.

Once while on a visit to her nursing home near Hershey, PA she had a conversation with my brother Kevin...she told him of the men in her life...she said "You know Kevin, I only ever loved and lived with two men in my life...one treated me like a queen and showered me with love and gifts...the other was often mean and drunk came home late and yelled at me and demanded dinner"..."but I loved them both" She was talking about my PopPop whom she had married as a young girl of 17....
