Paul A. Lane, 79, of Ross, Ohio, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise, Hamilton, Ohio, early Tuesday morning (Jan. 3, 2006). He was born March 7, 1926 in Big Stone Gap, the son of Roy and Rena (Sampson) Lane.
He worked at Stonega and Roda Coal Mines from 1950 to 1959. He moved his family to Ross, Ohio in 1960 and worked for the Kroger Co. as a truck driver for 27 years retiring in March 1988.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Freeland and Marvin Lane; and one sister, Eunice Lane Pittman.
A funeral service was held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, Ross, Ohio, Friday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Marvin Sams of The First Baptist Church of Ross officiating. Burial followed in Venice Cemetery, Ross, Ohio.
