Mrs. Audrey Maxine Burleson Faulkenbury of Albemarle, NC passed away at 4:50am Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. Her funeral will be at 2:00pm Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Poplin's Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Richard Carlisle will officiate and burial will be in Poplin's Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Born October 2, 1928 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Norman Burleson, Sr. and Phronie Lee Morgan Burleson. Mrs. Faulkenbury was a graduate of Endy School and was a retired employee of McRae Industries of Mt. Gilead, NC with 52 years of service. She was a member of Poplin's Grove Baptist Church and also loved crafts and could make anything. She was very talented.
Other survivors include: son, Ted Norman Faulkenbury of Albemarle; daughter, Lindy F. Myers and husband Bruce of Albemarle; brother, Clyde Norman Burleson, Jr. of Morehead City, NC; and 2 sisters, Bobbie Neal Efird of Albemarle, Marie Skipper of Havelock, NC; 3 grandchildren, Tiffany Myers, Sarah Myers, and Brice Faulkenbury.
