Services for Rachel Nixon Johnson, 67, of 11475 Ebenezer Road, Gracey, and formerly of Hopkinsville, will be at 10 am Thursday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with the Rev. Herb Cas officiating and burial in Cross Roads Cemetery, Caldwell County.
She died at 9:55 pm Sunday at Regional Medical Center, Madisonville, after a long illness.
A native of Hopkins County, she was born January 17, 1923, a daughter of the late John Robert and Pearl McIntosh Nixon. A Baptist, she retired after 28 years as a psychiatric aide at Western State Hospital.
Survivors includer her husband, Jesse W. Johnson; three daughters, Mrs. David (Linda) West, Mrs. G. W. (Carol) Croft, and Mrs. H.D. (Lorna) Malone, all of Christian County; a brother, Clayburn Nixon, Christian County; a sister, Mrs. Elwood (Fleda) Bozell, Christian County; a step-mother, Esmer Nixon, Hopkins County; a step-brother and two step-sisters; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
