Alda Mae Ernde, 83, formerly of 120 E. Franklin Street, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Colton Villa Nursing Center.
Born in Mercersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lizzy Meyers Rock.
She is survived by two daughters, Violet Cooper and Geneva Ahalt, both of Hagerstown; three sons, Clarence E. Ernde of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Thomas W. Ernde of Pensacola, Fla., and Charles W. Ernde of Hagerstown; two brothers, Woodrow Rock of Mercersburg and Cecil Rock of Florida; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 12
great-great-grandchildren; and six step greatgrandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
