Yarmouth - Katherine H. Benousky, 76, of Church Street died Tuesday at her residence.

She was born in Rockport, a daughter of Walter T. and Nellie Bryant Carleton, and attended Rockport schools.

Mes. Benousky lived for many years in Sylmar, California, and moved here in 1974.

She was a certified nurse assistant at Coastal Manor for several years.

Her husband, Victor Benousky, died in 1967.

Surviving are a daughter, Diane J. Thompson, with whom she resided; three sisters, Eleanor D'Allessandro of Yarmouth, Virginia Hawes of Rockport, and Evelyn Tousher of Westbrook; and two brothers, Walter Carleton of Rockport, and Roland Carleton of Owls Head.

At Mrs. Benousky's request, there will be no funeral.

Information that she is buried at Brooklawn comes from the town clerk in Yarmouth, Maine as of August 28, 2012.
