MRS. EARL DOWNEY DIES HERE SUNDAY
Funeral Services to Be Held Tomorrow Afternoon

Funeral services for Mrs. Cuba Mable Downing 41, who passed away in the office of Dr. E. S. Honsinger at 7:40 Sunday evening following a short illness, will be held at the Stephens & Goodding Funeral Home at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
The Rev. Peter Haney, pastor of the Methodist Church at Ardmore, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Mt Tabor cemetery.
Mrs. Downing was born near Atlanta, October 25, 1900, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John DeHeer. She was married August 30, 1919, at Macon to Earl Downey. She spent almost all of her life in Macon County.
Those surviving include her husband, four children, Alida Downey, Walter Downey and Joe Downey, all of the home and Mrs. Mabel Guffey, Excello. One brother, Cecil DeHeer, also survives.
The body will lie in state at the Stephens and Goodding Funeral Home until the funeral hour.
