Lewis - Ralph Waldo Emerson, a native son of California born 91 years ago in Los Angeles, died Dec. 15th. Survived by niece, Mrs. Effie Benton of Los Angeles. Member of Palos Verdes Lodge No. 389 F&AM, Scottish Rite & El Bekal Temple Shrine. Service Thursday 2:00 p.m. with Palos Verdes Lodge No. 389 F&AM officiating, Mottell's Chapel.

He was born in California and died in Signal Hill (a part of Long Beach) of cerebral thrombosis. He was a self employed house painter. His parents were William E. Lewis of Mass. and Vianna R. Stevens of New York.
