He was a life long resident of East Hartford. He was retired from City Appliance formerly of Hartford.
Besides his wife; he leaves five children, Mrs. Joan C. Dauberthauser of East Hartford, Mrs. Betty J. Archer of Bradenton FL, Ms. Mary E. Allard, of Sarasota, FL, Arthur G. Allard, Jr. of East Hartford, and Thomas E. Allard of East Hartford. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Anthony M. Amaio, Donna M. Risley, Albert M. Amaio Jr., Dorothy M. Allard, Elizabeth J. Allard and Tommy G. Allard; several step grandchildren; and four great grandchildren, Samantha R. Risley, Lisa N. Risley, Selena I. Allard, and Alexia M. Amaio.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 18, 11 a.m., at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home Chapel, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, with Reverend Joyce Whetstone officiating. Interment will be in Silver Lane Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully requested to attend.
