SPEAR, MINNIE E. –DIED-- At her home in Geneva, Neb., at 10:50 p. m. Thursday, May 17, 1909, of heart trouble after a long illness, Minnie E., wife of Walter L. Spear, aged 41 years, 4 months and 15 days. Minnie E., daughter of Dr. George and Mary J. Mozee, was born in Hardin county, Illinois. She came to Geneva with her parents in April, 1882. She was married in Geneva to Walter L. Spear June 20, 1894, and this city continued to be her residence until her death. She had long been a sufferer from heart trouble.

The deceased is survived by her husband and six-year-old son Gaylord and her parents, Dr. and Mrs. George Mozee, now residing at Fort Collins, Col., and the following brothers and sisters: Charles of Fort Collins, Roscoe of Tobias and Everett of Denver; Mrs. Carrie Laing of Geneva and Mrs. Agnes Allen of Ohiowa.

The funeral took place from the Spear family residence and was conducted by Rev. Thomas Griffiths of the Congregational church. The interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The deceased was a member of the Eastern Star and of the P. E. O. sisterhood and these societies attended the funeral service and with others made floral offerings to the memory of their departed sister and friend.
