Elwood Evander Snider, 79, of Tulsa, Okla., died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002 in Tulsa, Okla.
He was born Feb. 11, 1923 in Eureka, the son of Ben and Margie Snider.
He was a veteran of World War II where he served with the 101st Airborne.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Snider of the home; four sons: Stephen Snider of Victoria, TX; Carol Snider of Fairbury, NE; Alan Snider of Midway, GA; and Marty Snider of Tulsa, OK; one daughter, Connie Shields of Ponca City, OK; one brother Alfred Snider of Eureka; one sister Marie Lewis of Eureka; 13 grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his son Jerry Snider in 1973, two great-grandsons, his parents Ben and Margie Snider, his in-laws Carol and Venus Osburn and his sister Dorothy Nichols.
Graveside services were held Tues. Dec. 3 at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka. Arrangements were under the direction of Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel in Sand Springs, Okla.
