PIEFFER, Cheryl Ann 54, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 following a brief illness. She was born September 20, 1957 the daughter of Wendell and Juanita (Linn) Van Gundy. Cheryl was a 1975 graduate of South High School and worked for Walgreen's for the past nine years. She and her husband, Marvin, were avid fans and longtime season ticket holders of the Cincinnati Bengals. Cheryl is survived by her daughter Angela Ann DeWitt of Springfield; two step sons Gene (Maria) Pieffer of South Carolina and Ian Mark Pieffer of Massachusetts; two sisters Sandy Johnson and Rita Kinworthy of Springfield; her father-in-law Jack Pieffer of Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren Brent, Sabrina, Genevieve and Austin Pieffer, Maddox and Christian Flaker; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marvin in 2008; and her daughter Omnie Kay Pieffer in 1983. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
