Suffolk, February 28 - Mrs. Worley Bartlett Nelms, 82, prominent woman of Nansemond County and Suffolk, and oldest member of Providence Methodist Church, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marin L. Vaughan, on West Washington street.

Mrs. Nelms was the widow of McKay Nelms. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. W. E. Thompson, of Richmond; Mrs. H. F. Saunders and Mrs. D. H. Stassford, of Norfolk; Mrs. J. C. Knight, of Newport News; Mrs. J. H. Gwaltney, of Windsor, and Mrs. Marin L. Vaughan, of Suffolk; two sons, R. W. Nelms, of Suffolk, and McKay Nelms, of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. J. T. Williams, of Suffolk; a brother, L. W. Bartlett, of Norfolk; 31 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The body was taken to the Funeral Home of I. O. Hill and Company, where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. John W. Morrison, pastor of Providence Methodist Church, assisted by Dr. H. J. Goodwin. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
